Pedicure requirement

 

  • Warm water
  • Baking soda or Epsom salts
  • Lemon slices or apple cider vinegar
  • Coconut oil or olive oil
  • Brown sugar or salt or coffee powder(for exfoliating scrub.
  • Essential oils (optional, like lavender or peppermint)
  •  Toothbrush or nail brush
  • Pumice stone or foot file
  • Towel
  • Fresh aloe vera gel (optional)
  • Nail clippers, file, buffer

The step-by-step instructions for a pedicure at home

Prepare Your Feet

  1. Take warm water in a basin or tub, and add 2 to 3 tablespoons of baking soda and Epsom salts…
  2. A few slices of lemon or apple cider vinegar can be used for extra cleaning, along with some essential oil such as lavender or peppermint for a refreshing aroma.
  3.  Soak it for 15 to 20 minutes. It helps to soften the skin, soothes sore feet, neutralizes Odor, and relieves tension.

Exfoliate

  1. In a bowl, take 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, salt, or coffee powder and 1 tablespoon of coconut or olive oil. Mix well to make a scrub that helps to exfoliate dead skin moisturize the skin, and also remove tan.
  2. After soaking, dry your feet with a towel. Then, gently massage the scrub on the skin focusing on rough spots, heels, and sides.
  3. Rinse your feet with warm water and pat them dry again.

  1. Take pumice stone or foot filer and rub the area very gently, on rough skin, heel, and sides to exfoliate the dead skin, , be careful not to over-exfoliate.

Clean and Trim Nails

  1. Take a nail brush or toothbrush and dip it into the baking soda to clean around your toenails and underneath your feet.
  2. Now take nail clippers to trim and shape your nails, smooth the edges with a file, and buff the nail lightly if needed.

Cuticle Care

1. Take Vaseline or coconut oil around each toenail to soften your cuticles by rubbing on the nails.
2. Now gently push back the cuticles with a cuticle pusher.

Moisturize Naturally

  1. Take 2 teaspoons of coconut or olive oil and massage them into the skin for a few minutes to deeply hydrate and exfoliate the dead skin.
